This is not linked to the Login/Log off details of the cashiers but built as a decoupled functionality to store the time registrations for employees. The functionalities enables HQ to capture the exact times that a cashier has come for work, duration of breaks and when he signed off for the day. The time clock operations enable the Store to capture the Cashier/Supervisors working shift schedule by capturing their clock in/out information. The functionality should have come long time back, even though too late but better now than never. And this has been implemented as a configuration in the Retail parameters. It seems there has been some issues addressed for these scenarios by adding a maximum number of steps/loops before the best price has been picked up for the product within the shopping cart. But it turns out to be the biggest performance backdrop if the discounts/products increases more than tens of thousands of records. 111.Ĭoming back to the post what's updated in the latest hotfix basket in Retail, probably the most important is the POS performance. The biggest strength in the Retail POS is its ability to automatically calculate the best discount that can be applied to the transaction based on the products/store/customer/period combinations.

There were ~18k pageviews and about 8.5k unique visitors in the month of October/November as of today. Thought I'd share the top 10 blog posts from last two months. I think its very interesting to read the stats on my blog to see what/who people are doing across the globe on AX/D365. You might need to scroll to the worksheet if there are a lot but thats easier than the alternatives or a table of contents workbook tab. I had a worksheet with over 50 tabs and could navigate to a specific one in three clicks (right click on arrows, select worksheet, click ok). This is basically a table of contents for your Excel file! The terminology is a little odd but thats all its saying. Its not really activating or enabling anything. 'Activating' a worksheet just means that it will be navigated to. Once you hit the 4th or 5th linked Excel file and have more than one person trying to figure it out, good luck.Ī little known trick to quickly navigate multiple Excel worksheets, much like a table of contents, is to right click on the arrows in the lower left hand side of the application (to the left of the worksheet tabs). I would NOT recommend breaking out an Excel sheet into multiple linked Excel sheets just for ease of navigation sake. That works, and is ok for some purposes, but not always.

The resolution to this for some people is to create other Excel files in a static location that all reference each other. But for those that really get into it, traversing a massive Excel sheet can get pretty daunting. Its great! And you can really fill up an Excel worksheet quickly. You can build all sorts of reports/metrics and have the data auto-refresh when opening the form. I recently did an AXUG Session about using the real time integration to Excel.
